This substantial St. Michael medal is artisan-cast in solid sterling silver. Recreated from a rare antique medallion by Belgian artist Jacques Marin (1877–1950). The original circa-1910 medal is part of our private collection, and this silver reproduction beautifully captures its sculptural detail and historical character.
St. Michael the Archangel, protector, warrior, and guardian is a powerful symbol for police officers, firefighters, military service members, and first responders. This medal makes a meaningful gift for academy graduations, promotions, deployments, retirements, or anyone beginning a new chapter.
Each piece is cast in the USA, hand-oxidized, and finished with a deep patina in our studio. Paired with a heavy 2.3 mm Italian sterling silver wheat chain, the necklace has a bold, timeless presence suitable for both men and women.
Chains are finished to order in Michael’s Portland studio for a perfect fit. If you prefer to purchase the medal alone, please select Medal Only from the dropdown menu.
Shipped in a ribbon-wrapped gift box, ready for a beautiful presentation.
We want you to feel confident with your purchase. Please review our returns policies in the FAQ section on our shop main page.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer in-house sizing at this time.
Because each ring is unique in its age and construction, the ability to size varies by design and stone setting. Many pieces can be adjusted within two sizes, though this is only a general guideline.
We recommend having any sizing done by a trusted local jeweler, ideally one who uses a laser welder, as antique gold and historical settings often require specialized care.
If you’d like us to help coordinate third-party sizing for an additional fee, please reach out before purchasing.
Please note that all sizing performed by any jeweler or third party is at the buyer’s discretion and is non-refundable.
We are not GIA-certified gemologists, but we bring more than 25 years of combined experience in antique and fine jewelry, supported by ongoing study in gemstones, materials, and design. Every piece is examined carefully and described with accuracy and transparency.
When an item has been reviewed by our local GIA Graduate Gemologist, that assessment will be clearly noted in the listing.
Our goal is to provide information you can trust and to help you shop with confidence.
